The NDA Sr. Boys basketball champions didn't lose a step in their NOSSA 'AA' opener as they defeated the Espanola Spartans 59-34 on Friday at Widdifield S.S.
Brayden Burke led the Wildcats with 17 points.
The Wildcats are back on the court at noon on Saturday as they host Notre Dame from Sudbury in the semi-final. The final takes place at 6 p.m.
Trojans fall
In Jr. boys action the West Ferris Trojans fell short 58-56 to the Espanola Spartans.
Jake Tougas led all scorers in the game with 24 points.
The Trojans will take on the St. Mary's Knights from Sault Ste. Marie in the Jr. semi-final. Game time is 10:30 a.m.
