The Widdifield Wildcats built up a 3-0 lead in the second period and held on for a 4-1 victory over the Franco Cite Patriotes in NDA Boys Hockey on Friday night.

Brent St. Dennis scored twice for the Wildcats with singles going to Brett Bethune and Tim Callaghan.

The Wildcats were able to capitalize on their chances as they took a 2-0 lead into the locker room after the first period despite being outshot 13-5 in the opening frame.

Simon Caron scored the lone goal for the Pats.
