The Widdifield Wildcats OFSAA dreams came to a crashing halt Wednesday afternoon as the provinces number one seed lost to Penetanguishene 25-15, 23-25, and 15-13 in the clinching set at the AA Sr. Girls Volleyball tournament taking place in Dryden.

The loss is disappointing after the Wildcats swept four matches to finish on top of their pool on Tuesday.

Barons eliminated

The Algonquin Barons met the same fate on Wednesday at the OFSAA "A" Sr. Girls Volleyball championships being held in Richmond Hill.

The Barons were 4-0 in round robin play before losing in three sets to E.S. Le Caron in the quarterfinals by scores of 23-25, 25-21 and 15-10.
