Walters qualifies for Canada Summer Games

WINDSOR - North Bay's Matt Walters came home with a silver medal at the Ontario Senior Track and Field Championships and Canada Games Trials at the University of Windsor on the weekend.
WINDSOR - North Bay's Matt Walters came home with a silver medal at the Ontario Senior Track and Field Championships and Canada Games Trials at the University of Windsor on the weekend.

Walters, running for the North Bay Legion Track club, ran a personal best 3:48.93 while the winner was Scott Arnald of Speed River in 3:48.78.

The 2nd place finish has earned Walters a spot on Team Ontario and will compete at the Canada Summer Games in Charlottetown, PEI which takes place August 22nd to 29th.

Matt and his twin brother Nick Walters compete for the University of Windsor Track and Field team.
