Walters 7th in National Cross Country Championships

Matt Walters led the Windsor Lancers to a silver medal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Sherbrooke, Quebec.


Matt Walters led the Windsor Lancers to a silver medal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

The former West Ferris Secondary School distance runner finished 1st on his team and 7th in the field of over 140 of the top university athletes in Canada. By finishing in the top 7 he was named a first team all-Canadian.

Matt completed the difficult 10km race in 32 minutes 48 seconds. The University of Guelph won the team gold for the fifth year in a row.
