On a wet Sunday morning the Bayites took on the Sudbury Flyers Azzurri. North Bay striker Spencer Brooks scored midway through the first half to give the Stallions the lead. The Azzurri scored a goal in the second half to tie the game and advance to the finals.

The final game was a remath of the 2nd year Stallions versus the Azzurri with the Sudbury squad striking first on a nice feed in the North Bay 18 yard box. The game was back and forth with neither team being able to bulge the twine until Sudbury scored a fluke goal from center before the half. Nine minutes into the second half play was halted for over an hour due to lightning strikes in the area. As the teams waited for the storm clouds to clear it was great to see the 2 girls Under 15 teams (Barrie & North Bay) from the adjoining field and the Stallions engaging in a spirited hand slapping campfire game to pass the time away .. great sportsmanship.

Once play began the Under 16 North Bay squad played much better but could not break through for a goal. The game finished in a 2-0 win for the Azzurri who have been together for the most part of the last 8 years. Game MVP for North Bay was Zach Wilkinson.
