Bradford, ON - The North Bay U13 Blizzard's capture Silver on the weekend falling to Aurora Storm U13 Bolts 2-0 (25-9, 25-14) in OVA Provincial Cup - Zone "C". During pool play the Blizzards went undefeated beating Etobicoke 381 and TEVC Spartans Lightning in straight sets 2-0. The Blizzards then advanced to the quarter-finals and semi-finals and swept Interclub 2-0 (25-13, 25-13) and Aurora Storm Hurricanes 2-0 (25-22, 25-21).

Due to the storm that hit the Muskoka region the Blizzards were only able to compete with 7 players to capture a silver medal.

"It was a bit of a struggle to get down here, but we made it with seven players. The girls played their hearts out this weekend, and should all be very proud of themselves. Everyone stepped it up and showed great adversity and perseverance. We obviously would have liked to have had the whole team there, but I think this group of seven made everyone proud," said Co-Coach Laura Hudson

The U13 Blizzard are coach by former Nipissing Lady Lakers alumni players Laura Hudson and Christina Crozier.

Members of the team include: Jen Sheehan, Tabitha Tremblay, Kathryne Gribbon, Jayden Taylor, Danielle Clement, Samantha Rota, Chelsea Cadieux, Julia Allard, Alyssa Randall, Zaffia Laplante, Danyka Wall, Kristen Moore,

The next tournament for the U13 Blizzards will be January 23rd - McGregor Cup.
