TEMISCAMING, QC. - The Abitibi Eskimos were in town tonight to face the Royals. One streak was going to continue and one was to end by the end of the game. Unfortunetly it was the Royals four game winning streak that came to a halt as the still undefeated in regulation Eskimos skated to a 4-2 win at the Centre Sunday night.

The game started off really well for the Eskimos as Marc-Alain Begin's shot beat Erwin Bosum at the 54 second mark. The Royals were not phazed by the quick goal and responded less than 3 minutes later when Shane Golden banged in a rebound off Eddy Davey. On only their fourth shot of the period the Eskimos' Felix Boutin made the score 2-1. The shots were 11-6 in favour of the Royals.

The second period was scoreless with Abitibi holding an 8-7 shot advantage. The third period started in favour of the Eskis as Joel Roy made the score 3-1. Darren Shecapio made it a one goal game when he scored at the 7:12 mark.

That's the way it stayed until the last minute, as the Royals pulled their netminder for an extra player, but a scramble for he puck at the Abitibi blue line let Joel Roy skate in and put one in the empty net to put an end to the game.

Shots for the game were 28-26 Royals.

The Three Stars were:

1. Marc-Alain Begin
2. Felix Boutin
3. Shane Golden
