U18 Ice Boltz net key playdown win over Lady Wolves

'We are pleased with the strong effort from the team and recognize that the series is far from over'

Danika West had two goals and Hannah Brunton made 28 saves as the North Bay Dave's Cooling and Heating U18 AA Ice Boltz pulled out a 3-2 playdown win over the Sudbury Lady Wolves at Memorial Gardens Monday night. 

It was game one of the two-game provincial playdown against the Sudbury squad.  

Taylor Yeo had the other goal in the Monday victory. 

Jeff Roynon, head coach of the U18 Ice Boltz was impressed with the way his team came out in the playdown opener. 

“We are pleased with the strong effort from the team and recognize that the series is far from over," said Roynon.  

Game two takes place in Sudbury on February 23.
