Trojans second half surge too much for Bears

The West Ferris Trojans defeated the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears 34-17 in Sr. Boys football on Friday night. Trailing 17-4 at the half the Trojans scored 30 unanswered points to pull away and run their record to 2-0.

Trailing 17-4 at the half the Trojans scored 30 unanswered points to pull away and run their record to 2-0. Brad Piper led the way with 3 touchdowns. Zack Andre scored a touchdown when he fell on the ball in the end zone after Braeden Stephenson blocked a punt. Trent Robinson drilled a field goal and added a single and 3 converts. The other points came from a safety surrendered by the punter.

Jason Barefoot scored on two short runs for the Bears and Jon Kapitanchuck added a field goal.
