The West Ferris Trojans got off to great start jumping out to a quick 23-8 lead to defeat the ESCA Barons 73-32 to take a 1-0 lead in the best of three series.

The Trojans used a solid 1st half, pressuring the Barons into a number of turnovers and led 45-14 at the half.

Playing without one of their best outside shooters didn't stop the Trojans as they were able to hit 7 shots from beyond the arc. Charlie Hancock led the Trojans with 17. Sam Levac and Cole Addley chipped in with 13 and 12 points each.

Chris Bedard led the Barons with 11 points.

The next game will be played on Tuesday night at ESCA beginning at 7:30 p.m.
