The Junior A North Bay Trappers are gearing up for a road trip this weekend to battle both Soo region teams. On Friday the Junior ‘A’ Trappers face off against the rival Soo Thunderbirds and look to add another two points to the win column and on Saturday the Junior ‘A’ Trappers cross the border and look to clip the wings of the Soo Michigan Eagles.

Recently signed forward Dan Zawacki is one Junior ‘A’ Trapper to watch this season. In his first game as a Trapper, the Boulder, Colorado product - who played for the Boulder Jr. Bison’s - posted two goals, which helped lead the team to victory against the Temiscaming Royals.

“He had an incredible start,” said Trappers head coach Ian Swalucynski. “He fits our style of play perfectly and we can’t wait to see what he can do over the course of the season. Dan is a great addition to the team.”
