Trappers face elimination

The North Bay Trappers are hoping the friendly confines of West Ferris arena will help them gain confidence against the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars on Saturday night.
The North Bay Trappers are hoping the friendly confines of West Ferris arena will help them gain confidence against the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars on Saturday night.

The defending GNML champs humbled the Trappers 12-1 and 9-2 last weekend in the Soo to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Great North Midget League semi-finals with the winner to take on the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves in the finals.

The Trappers have had much more success at home this season against the Stars as during their last visit to North Bay the Stars only pulled out a one goal victory and a tie.

If the Trappers stave off elimination Saturday night, they will play game 4 Sunday afternoon at West Ferris arena.
