The North Bay Titans swim team attended the Northeastern Ontario Region Meet #1 in Sudbury this past weekend, which hosted more than 330 swimmers. This was a regional meet in which swimmers of all levels took part.
Competing for first time were Tanner Noth, Brigitte North, Renee Gagnon and Sonia Kaminski-Morneault.
One of the highlights of the meet was Jennifer Leckie's qualification for the Canadian Age Group Nationals being held in Montreal, July 2007.
Leading the way with placing was Dominique Bouchard who recorded five first place finishes as well as Jennifer Leckie, Max Sherry and Ryan Zamperoni who also achieved first-place finishes in their respective categories.
Renee Gagnon, Jennifer Leckie, Emma Hawes, Jeremy Sallie, Brittany Pask, Brigitte North, Tanner Noth and Kristen Zamperoni all had strong performances with personal bests and top five finishes.
Other swimmers who earned mention include Maleah Seguin, Ashley Duquette, Samantha Duquette, Heather Waye, Sonia Kaminski-Morneault and Jacob Laframboise.
