Titans in Sudbury

The North Bay Y Titans recently traveled to Sudbury to compete in the Fred B. Championships. The young group of 23 improved on 95% of their seed times and won many heats to finish fourth overall in team points.
The North Bay Y Titans recently traveled to Sudbury to compete in the Fred B. Championships. The young group of 23 improved on 95% of their seed times and won many heats to finish fourth overall in team points.

Highlights of the meet were the impressive swims of Grace Liritzis (8) and Nicole Plumb (12) who collectively bought home 3 golds, 2 silvers and the high point trophy for both 8 and under and 12 and under girls. Renee Gagnon (11) and Jeremy Sallie (12) both had strong performances while picking up 2 golds medals apiece with Gagnon adding 2 silvers and Sallie one.

Both Gagnon and Sallie placed 2nd in the high points categories for their age groups. Kelsey O Connor (14) finished with 2 golds , 1 silver and a bronze. Megan Frederick (12) received 2 golds while Emma Hawes captured one. Samantha Cowan (10) nabbed 3 silvers and Shelby Twilt (14)one in their respective swims. Brigitte North (12), Brittany Pask (12) and Ryan Zamperoni (7) all received a bronze medals while Meleah Seguin finished the meet with two third place finishes.

Congratulations to Andrew Bell (14), Aurora Buckley (10), Samantha Duquette (11),Madison Fraser (10), Sierra Guido (13), Kristen Lazerou (11), Rochelle Leppert (10), Holly Ryan (13), Anna Tryapichkin (9) and Kristen Zamperoni (9) for their strong performances.
