Synchronized Skating event coming to North Bay

Tickets are now available for one of the largest skating event that has ever been hosted in Northern Ontario.
Tickets are now available for one of the largest skating event that has ever been hosted in Northern Ontario. More than 2000 participants are expected to take the ice at North Bay’s Memorial Gardens Sports Arena on January 26th to 28th for the Central Regional Festival of Synchronized Skating. The event will see teams of 12-20 skaters from across Ontario competing head to head for the right to advance to the 2007 BMO Financial Group Skate Canada Synchronized Championships.

“It’s rare that a skating event of this size comes to North Bay. Synchro is exciting, athletic, graceful, dramatic – it really has it all and everyone should come out to see it for themselves,” said event co-chair Wendy St. Denis.

Synchronized skating is based on unison, formations and risky maneuvers which are choreographed to a variety of music. Tickets are available at the Memorial Gardens Box Office, in person or by calling (705) 474-3770. Regular box office hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for an all-event pass is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and children.
