Stingers make it to the finals

The North Bay Stingers Peewee Rep team had a very successful weekend reaching the finals in Brampton this weekend. Thay won 4 straight games before losing to Forest Glen from Scarboro 6-2 in the final. They beat Martingrove 14-2, Cambridge 12-0,and Brampton 10 -0. In the semi's they beat Guelph 9-3. The Stingers had solid pitching performances from Jake Tougas, Ryan Scott, Chris Kangur and Matt Blanchfield. In the Brampton game, Tougas and Kangur tossed a combined no hitter. Other members on the team are Jeremy Poeta, Nick Scott, Tyler Besner, Chris Faucon, Peter Quedent, and Thomas Hamilton. The team is coached by Tim Scott and Larry Tougas. They are sponsored by Blanchfield Roofing.
