Skyhawks victorious on the Island

Joe Trotter scored his second goal of the game on the powerplay in overtime to give the North Bay Skyhawks a 4-3 victory over the Manitoulin Islanders on Sunday afternoon in Little Current.

Scott Faulkner and Adam Cook scored the other goals for the Skyhawks while goaltender Michael Lalande turned aside 26 shots in the win.

Jeff Mussen had a pair of goals for the Islanders while Anthony Fey scored the other Manitoulin goal.

With the win the Skyhawks improve to 9-3 on the season only one point behind the front running Sudbury Jr. Wolves.
