The North Bay Skyhawks rebounded from Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Soo Thunderbirds with a 4-3 victory over the Abitibi Eskimos on Wednesday night in Iroquois Falls.

It was a big win for the Skyhawks as they played the game with a short bench as Skyhawks G.M. Guy Blanchard continues to work the phone in hopes of moving Cory Park and John Seymour who walked out on the team late last week.

"We did well with 17 players tonight - 15 skaters and two goalies," said Skyhawks head coach Darren Turcotte.

"The guys really rallied and pulled together and competed hard. It was a good road game in a tough barn to win in."

Dustin Fummerton scored twice including the game winner in the second period. Nick Brunette and Brad Norkum scored the other goals for the Skyhawks.

Kyle Radigan added two assists for the Skyhawks.

Skyhawks goalie Andre Laperriere made 31 saves in the win.

Josh Clancy, Russel Morin and Dustin Roy scored for the Eskimos.
