The North Bay Skyhawks continue to struggle to find a way to defeat the Sudbury Jr. Wolves.

Trailing 2-1 after one period of play the Skyhawks blasted 26 shots at Sudbury goalie Darren Rowlandson in the second period but Hawks goalie Michael Lalande allowed the game to get out of reach as he allowed four second period goals (three on the powerplay)on 15 shots as the Jr. Wolves went on to defeat the Skyhawks 6-2. The Jr. Wolves now have won all three meetings this year against the North Bay club.

“It seems we are snake bitten against them," head coach Darren Turcotte said after the Wednesday road game in Sudbury.

"We just have to get everybody going and we've got to find a way to shut down their powerplay."

Lalande was pulled after the second period. The North Bay native allowed 6 goals on 31 Sudbury shots. He was replaced by newcomer Ian Wilson who blocked all 10 shots he faced in the third period.

Hubert Generoux, Justin Roy and former Jr. Wolves forward Matt Williams scored for the Skyhawks in the loss.

Jordan Cheechoo led the Jr. Wolves offence with a pair of second period powerplay goals, while singles went to Scott Restoule, Brenden Biedermann, and Jean Francois Houle.

The Skyhawks next game is Sunday as they host the Soo Indians.
