The Temiscaming Royals(9-11-2) are having a very good month of November. Sunday afternoon, the Royals collected their fourth win this month with a 5-0 shutout victory over the visiting Manitoulin Islanders. That's five wins in the last six games for the Royals who are only 3 points back of Sudbury.

After a scoreless first period, Brad Clark, with a pair of goals and Darren Shecapio on a power play gave the home team a lead 3-0 after 40 minutes. Some solid goaltending from Guillaume Piche kept the Islanders off the scoresheet. Piche ended with 38 stops for the victory.

In the third the Royals added 2 more goals from Rylan Henley and Stephan Gunner before the period was seven minutes old, sealing the victory. The only thing left to do, was to preserve the shutout. A light night in the sin bin, only 11 minors with the Islanders taking seven.

The shots on goal favored the Royals 49-38

The stars were Guillaume Piche, Brad Clark and Chris Shawanda.

Next home game for the Royals is Friday, November 21st when the Sudbury Jr.Wolves will be Temiscaming.
