Royals get weekend split

The Temiscaming Royals split a pair of games this weekend. Friday evening against the Bobcats in Elliot Lake the Royals suffered a 4-2 loss. Chris Hebert and Corey Marquardt scored for the Royals.

On Saturday in King City, the Royals earned their first shutout win of the season with a 5-0 win over the Wild. Guillaume Piche got the shutout for the Royals. Darcy Vaillancourt led the way with a hat trick and one assist. Brandon Blanche chipped in with a pair of goals. Chris Hebert added a couple of helpers, with singles going to Alex Brazeau, Robbie Bird, and Rylan Henley.

The Royals next home game is Sunday, November 18th against the Toronto Canada Moose. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
