Pats and Barons come up with wins

Meantime, the Algonquin Barons downed the West Ferris Trojans 46-35 in NDA Senior Girls action Wednesday night at the West Ferris gym. Camille Courville led the Barons with 16 points, 14 of which came in the 2nd half. Chelsey Tremblay added 12 points while Amanda Edmunds chipped in with 6.

The Trojans were led by Sarah Pledge with 9 points, while Katelyn Zen and Kally Watmore added 8 and 7 respectively.

The Barons led 12-8 after the first quarter, but were dominated by the Trojans in the second quarter and led 24-18 at the half. The Barons, led by Tremblay and Courville, outscoring the Trojans 24-11 in the second half to earn their 9th victory of the season and bump them up to 2nd spot in the standings.

In Junior Girls Basketball action, the West Ferris Trojans defeated the Algonquin Barons 35-19 while Chippewa overwhelmed Franco Cite 51-21.
