After disposing of the Chippewa Raiders 7-2 on Friday night, the Franco-Cité Patriotes toot to the ice on Saturday night at Memorial Gardens with one thing on their mind, first place in the NDA hockey standings. Once again, the Patriotes relied on a strong offensive attack putting away the same Raiders 10-3. Pascal Séguin led the way with a hat trick while Michel Dumont, Alain Desbois and Jean-Philippe Primeau each scored twice. Jacob Proulx also found the back of the net while he and Desbois added two assists each. Dumont also had three assists. Raiders goal scorers weren't available. Pat Labelle picked up the win in goal for the Pats.

On Sunday night, the Patriotes played catch up hockey for most of the game before squeaking out a 5-3 victory over the Widdifield Wildcats at the Verner Arena. Eric Arcand had a hat trick for the winners while Jean Séguin and Michel Dumont added singles. Joël Bazinet had four helpers while Jean-Philippe Primeau added two. Marc Schoen, Cam Ladouceur and Pat Rideout had the goals for the Wildcats. Adam Hewitt added two helpers. Ricky Guay picked up the win in goal while Cody Doucette took the loss.

The two teams meet again on Wednesday night in Sturgeon Falls. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
