The North Bay Nordic Ski Club is hosting an Ontario Cup and an Ontario University qualifying race this weekend, which will feature several of the province’s top ParaNordic skiers.
ParaNordic skiers are athletes with a variety of physical disabilities, including paraplegics, amputees and those with visual impairments. This weekend we expect to have approximately 5 ParaNordic skiers, including several sit-skiers, racing alongside the other athletes.
The ParaNordic races will be the last races of the day, and will take place at approximately 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Come out and cheer on these incredible athletes as they test themselves on North Bay Nordic’s challenging trails!
When: Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th, 2009
Race Start Times: 10 a.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. Sunday
