North Bay Belle AA players compete in Gloucester

Five North Bay players from the Valley East Belle AA team participated in the Gloucester Ringette Tournament over the weekend where they won their consolation game against Whitby 7-6.

In other games, the team won 5-1 against Gatineau, tied Gloucester at 4, and lost to Nepean 9-2 and to Calgary 6-3.

“The format of the tournament was not that of a true round-robin so, unfortunately, they didn't get the greatest draw and didn't meet any of the lower ranked teams,” manager Colleen Parker explained.

The West Ferris Ringette Association players are Alexandra Parker, Amanda Storie, Brianne O'Rourke, Courtney Whitwell and Drew Elliott.

The team will next see action when they participate at the Provincial AA games in London in March.
