NOJHL All-Stars drop a pair

RENFREW, ON. - The NOJHL All-Stars dropped a pair of games to their Jr. counterparts at the Team Canada East selection camp in Renfrew on Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon the NOJHL Selects fell 5-2 to the CJHL All-Stars. Royals forward Stephan Gunner and Sudbury Jr. Wolves defenceman Luc Comtois scored in the loss.

The NOJHLers then fell 6-1 to the Quebec Jr. AAA All-Stars. Sudbury's Erik Belanger scored the lone goal for the NOJHL squad. Former Temiscaming Royals goalie Jessy Lecours got the win for the Quebec Selects.

The Skyhawks were represented by newly signed defenceman Sacha Guimond, while the Temiscaming Royals sent Gunner and defenceman Rylan Henley.

The mini tournament was part of the selection process for players for Team Canada East which will take part in the upcoming World Junior A Challenge taking place in Prince Edward Island this November.
