NDA Hockey - Pats and Barons skate to tie

STURGEON FALLS, ON. - The Franco-Cité Patriotes blew a 4-0 second period lead only to come back themselves and earn a 5-5 tie against the Algonquin Barons in NDA hockey action on Saturday night.
STURGEON FALLS, ON. - The Franco-Cité Patriotes blew a 4-0 second period lead only to come back themselves and earn a 5-5 tie against the Algonquin Barons in NDA hockey action on Saturday night.

Brandon Larivière, Alain Desbois, Joël Bazinet and Jean Séguin gave the Pats the early lead but three power play goals allowed the Barons to get back in the game. Nick Héroux and Christian Liard led the Barons attack with two goals each. Mathieu Lavigne added a single. Larivière tied the game on the power play halfway through the third period.

Ricky Guay stopped 30 shots for the Patriotes while his counterpart Ryan Hunter blocked 28 shots.

The Barons (1-0-1) will play the Widdifield Wildcats on Saturday night at Memorial Gardens. The Patriotes will visit the Wildcats on Wednesday night at the Gardens. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
