Eric Arcand and Justin Boutin both scored twice as the Franco-Cité Patriotes remained undefeated in NDA hockey action beating the visiting Widdifield Wildcats 4-3 on Wednesday night in Sturgeon Falls. Joël Bazinet chipped in with a pair of helpers for the Pats (4-0-1). Tye Sheppard, Ryan Purkhart and Pat Rideout scored for the Cats (1-2-1).
Pat Labelle picked up his second win of the season while Cody Doucet took the loss. The win sets up a key home and home series between the Patriotes and Algonquin Barons on Friday and Saturday. Game time on Friday is 8:30 p.m. in Sturgeon. They go at it again on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
