NDA Hockey begins

The Franco-Cité Patriotes and FJ McElligott Voyageurs skated to a 1-1 draw in Verner on opening night in the NDA hockey league. Both teams had good scoring chances but goaltenders Stéphane Dodier for the Voyageurs and Pat
Beaudry for the Patriotes refused to give up the game winner. Derek Marcotte scored on the power play in the first period to give the visitors the lead. Stéphane Potvin tied things up for the Patriotes with a beautiful
goal in the second period. Both teams return to action this weekend.
