Widdifield squared off against Chippewa Thursday night in the Chippewa gym.
After 3 quarters the score was 29 to 24 for Widdifield. The Raiders were outshot in the final quarter 8 to 2. The final score was 37-26 in favour of Widdifield.
Sarah Payne scored 11 points and Heather Payne scored 8 points for the Wildcats and the Raiders high scorer was Morgan Amell with 9 points and Jen Kuehni chipped in for 5 points.
Jr. Girls
In Jr. Girls action, the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears continued their impressive start with their 7th straight win defeating West Ferris 47-22.
Stephanie Jennings led the Bears with 12 points.
Jessica Stead led the Jr. Lady Trojans with 6 points.
Also on Thursday the Chippewa Raiders edged the Widdifield Wildcats 28-26.
