NDA Baseball - Trojans over Bears

The West Ferris baseball team started their season on the right foot with 11-1 victory over the SJSH Bears. Jake Tougas, Takayudi Oda and Dale Valade combined on one hitter. Tougas pitched a perfect 2 innings striking out 5 out of six batters.
The West Ferris baseball team started their season on the right foot with 11-1 victory over the SJSH Bears. Jake Tougas, Takayudi Oda and Dale Valade combined on one hitter. Tougas pitched a perfect 2 innings striking out 5 out of six batters. Oda was equal to the task striking out 3 hitters and retiring all six hitters. All 3 Trojan pitchers combined to strike out 11 batters. Tyler Besner. Curtis Lacelle and Greg Gravelle pitched well in defeat giving up 8 hits and striking out 7 Trojans.

Dale Valade led the Trojans with 3 hits which included two triples. He drove in 3 runs. Thomas Hamilton had 2 hits and drove in a couple of runs. Tougas drove in 4 runs with a 2 run single, groundout and sac fly. Greg Gravelle drove in the only run on a single in the 6th inning.

The Trojans host Northern on Wednesday at Veteran's field. Start time is 4:00 p.m. Scollard plays ESCA on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
