NDA Baseball - Barons defeat Northern

STURGEON FALLS, ON - The Algonquin Barons Baseball Team wrapped up their regular season with a 12-6 win over the Northern Braves in NDA Exhibition Baseball Tuesday afternoon at Richelieu Park in Sturgeon Falls.

Pitchers Eric Fillion, Brady St-Jean, T.C. Kerr and Miguel Champagne combined for 8 stikeouts and doubles by Fillion, Champagne and Dan Desrosiers along with singles by Kerr, Champagne, Adam Gallant, Matt Blanchfield, Alex Leblanc, Taylor Clayton and Jayce Goulet rounded out the offence for the Barons. Braves pitcher Lucas Penner struck out 6 Barons in a great effort and singles by Billy-Jay Prieur, Marc Lemire, Justin Beauchamp, Mgizi Snache and Adam Penner contributed to the Braves 6 runs.

The Barons will face the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears in a semi-final game at Veterans Field at 4:00 p.m. Thursday while the West Ferris Trojans face the Northern Braves in their semi-final game also at 4:00 p.m. in Sturgeon Falls.
