Moyer named IHL Defenceman of the week

North Bay native Russ Moyer was named the IHL defenceman of the week after scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists in 3 games last week for the Muskegon Fury.

In 35 games, Moyer has 6 goals and 11 assists totaling 17 points.

This is Moyer’s first season of pro hockey in the International Hockey League.

Prior to joining the Fury, Moyer played four seasons of CIS hockey with the Acadia Axemen and before that the steady defender played four seasons with the Ottawa 67’s.
