Minor Atom AA’s Take Gold in NOHA Championship

SUDBURY, ON - The West Ferris Wingate Minor Atom AA Blades Team participated in NOHA Tournament of Champions in Sudbury this past weekend. The team opened the tournament with a 6-0 victory over the Valley East Rebels.


SUDBURY, ON - The West Ferris Wingate Minor Atom AA Blades Team participated in NOHA Tournament of Champions in Sudbury this past weekend. The team opened the tournament with a 6-0 victory over the Valley East Rebels. In their second game the Blades continued their strong team play and defeated the Copper Cliff Redmen 13-0. They followed that up with a 5-0 victory over the Nickel Centre Flyers.
In the semi-final the Blades once again met the Valley East Rebels and defeated them once again 7-0 and earned a trip to the championship game.

In the Championship game the Blades were up against the undefeated Sudbury Bulldogs. The Blades however continued with a strong team effort, both defensively and offensively and defeated the Bulldogs 7-0 to win the NOHA title. The team finished the tournament without surrendering a single goal against!

Dylan Bond, Dylan D’Agostino, Nick Davis, Matt Desjardins, Jacob Gravelle, Tye Lindeman, Mason McMahon, Eric Mondoux, Callum Pitz, Zach Roy, Dillon Seguin, Gavin Shaw, Brett Shawana, Braeden Staples and Payton Vescio.

Coaching staff includes: Kevin Vescio, Mark McMahon, Jim Shaw, Mark Mondoux, Gilles Seguin and manager Karen Bond.
