Midget AAA Trappers fall to North Stars

Matt Zalewski had a pair of power play goals to lead the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars to a 5-2 win over the North Bay Midget 'AAA' Trappers in Great North Midget League play at West Ferris arena on Saturday night.

Kyle Baril had 1 goal and 1 assist for the Trappers. Danny Desrochers had the other goal for the homeside.

Tyler Brown, Matt Pinder and Luke Buck also scored for the North Stars.

It was a tough loss for the Trappers who were hoping to gain ground on the second place North Stars. With the loss the Trappers now sit with 22 points while the North Stars have 28.

The Midget 'AAA' Trappers are back on the ice at 3:20 p.m. Sunday as they take on the New Liskeard Cubs.

The game will take place at Memorial Gardens as the third game of the four Trappers games in celebration of Trappers Day in the Bay.
