McCourt and Jackson Bring Home Hardware

LONDON, ON. - A pair of Thunderbird swimmers came home with a total of five provincial swimming medals at teh Long Course Provincial Swimming Championships here. Jesse Hives, McCourt and Jackson represented the club over the four day competition with some fantastic results.

Hives posted a personal best in the girls 13 year old 400 Individual Medley as well as placing ninth overall. Jackson raced in the girls 14-year-old category and swam to two gold in the 100 & 200 backstroke smashing her previous club record in the 200 with a time of 2:21.93. McCourt came away with three bronze medals in the 100 and 200 butterfly and the 400 Individual Medley in the girls 15 year old category posting two new club records in a time of 2:28.21 in the fly and 5:17.32 in the Medley.

The three swimmers will continue to train for the next 7 days before they are off to Montreal for the Age Group Nationals.
