The Canadore Panthers women's hockey team made up of Linda Turcotte, Erin Chassie, Lou Mair, Heather Anderson and Melanie Salentino will be on TSN (Cogeco 28) Saturday afternoon as the sports network broadcasts the final of the Canadian Pond Hockey Championships which took place two weeks ago in Huntsville.
Meantime on the men's side, Nugget Sports Editor Ken Pagan made it all the way to the final on the men's end playing with the Barrie Theta TTS Bruins.
Pagan's team won three straight playoff games in a heavy
snowfall to reach the final against the fifth-ranked Rinkrake.com Greybeards of Whitby (Joe and Mike Van Volsen, former Canadian national team member Justin Cardwell, Paul Brooks).
Broadcast time for both the men's and women's final is 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon and will be rebroadcasted at 4 p.m. on Monday.
