The Nipissing University Lakers Men Hockey Team unveiled plans today for the 2nd Annual Real Men Wear Pink Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The Nipissing Lakers Hockey team have partnered with CIBC Run for the Cure to promote Breast Cancer awareness and raise funds for the campaign.

The Lakers will face the nationally ranked Western Mustangs in the 2nd Annual Real Men Wear Pink game slated for a 3:00 p.m. puck drop on Saturday, September 18th at Memorial Gardens.

Last year‘s game was shy of a sellout by 120 tickets. This year’s goal is to sell out the game!

The Lakers have added special features to the 2nd edition of Real Men Wear Pink Game. The Lakers Maniacs will shed their traditional blue and white makeup for a more festive pink look. The ice surface at Memorial Gardens will be transformed from the traditional white ice to pink. The Lakers players will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off at the end of the game with all proceeds going to the CIBC Run for the Cure Campaign.

In order capture the spirit of the night, video footage will be taken throughout the course of the game. All fans in attendance are encouraged to show their support and wear pink.
