In the hunt for the bronze medal at the Women's National Volleyball Championships, the Mount Royal College Cougars turned out to be more than the Nipissing Lady Lakers could handle Friday.

In the hunt for the bronze medal at the Women's National Volleyball Championships, the Mount Royal College Cougars turned out to be more than the Nipissing Lady Lakers could handle Friday.

The Lakers playing their second game of the weekend gave up three straight sets to the Cougars.

Game 1 Mount Royal over Nipissing 25-17
Game 2 Mount Royal over Nipissing 25-22
Game 3 Mount Royal over Nipissing 25-17

The Lakers will now play Mount Allison in the consolation round Saturday at 1pm (4 p.m. EST).

Stefanie Hancock was named the Laker's player of the game.
