Lakers Lacrosse 2010 Camp Fees & Information (updated)

Nipissing Lakers defenceman John Quarrie will be the lead instructor for the Lakers Lacrosse 2010 Camps. John Quarrie is a two time Canadian national champion, 2009 NLL draft pick of the Toronto Rock and the 10th overall selection for the 2010 Senior ‘A‘ League draft.

Over the course of the camp John will be teaching the basic skills of lacrosse. John’s skill clinics will cover how to pick up the ball, cradle, throw and catch. As the players progress through the five week camp they will acquire the fundamentals of lacrosse. The objective is to build each player’s skill level so that they are confident and able to fully participate in lacrosse games.
Physical fitness is an essential component of box lacrosse. Each session will start with thirty minutes of fitness training (exception for 5 & 6 year old age group which is allotted 15 minutes) led by a conditioning coach.
The Lakers Lacrosse 2010 Camp will be based out of Memorial Gardens. The camps will begin on Monday April 19, 2010.

Classes will run from Monday to Wednesday at three different time slots for the course of five weeks. For Boys and Girls (age 5 & up)

Monday & Tuesday

5:15 to 6:30 p.m. (5 to 6-year-olds)
6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (7 to 9-year-olds)
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (10- 12 year-olds)

Wednesday only

5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (10 to 12 year-olds)
6:00 p.m. to 7;30 (13 to 14 year-olds)
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (15 year-olds and up)

Camp Fees

The total cost for the 2010 Lakers Lacrosse Camp is $150 + GST per an individual.

This fee includes:

i. Five one hour lacrosse skill clinics
ii. Five half hour fitness training sessions with a fitness instructor
iii. The use of a lacrosse stick throughout the duration of the five weeks
iv. Camp jersey ( to be kept by participant)

Registration Dates and Payment

First registration date will be Saturday March 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Skaters Edge 1321 Fisher St.
