The Nipissing Lady Lakers improved their regular season record to 7-3 with a dominating 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15) victory over the Sault Cougars Monday night.

The Lady Lakers used the entire 12 player roster. “We were able to try some different combinations in this match,” said head coach Marc LaRochelle. “We moved some players around and worked on some options that may be helpful in the next few weeks.”

Laura Hudson led the Lakers offense with 16 points while Stefanie Hancock and Jessica Bigelow each added 8.

The Lady Lakers must now prepare to face the number seed and the undefeated Mohawk Mountaineers Saturday in Hamilton.

“The last time we faced Mohawk I thought we played a solid match. We made a few errors down the stretch but we gave ourselves a chance,” added LaRochelle.
