Lady Trojans eliminate Wildcats

The Wildcats took an early 12-6 lead in the second quarter but the Lady Trojans rebounded with 8 unanswered points to take a 14-12 lead into halftime.

The Junior Lady Trojans continued their strong play by outscoring the Cats 19-2 in the third quarter en route to the 44-22 victory.

Katie Sargent scored 17 of her game high 21 points in the 3rd quarter. Lucy Millar chipped in with 6 and Caitlin Meyers added 7 for the Lady Trojans.

For the Wildcats Sierra Greco and Taylor Anderson each played a strong game. Eight of the 11 Wildcat players contributed offensively.

The Lady Trojans now meet the Chippewa Raiders on Thursday night to open the best-of-three NDA Junior Girls Basketball Championship Finals at West Ferris at 6:00 p.m.
