The Nipissing Lady Lakers volleyball team fell in the quarter finals 2-1 to the Loyalist Lancers at the Sheridan Invitational Tournament held over the weekend.

In round robin play the Lakers swept Canadore, Connestoga, and Seneca 2-0. During the first round of playoffs the Lady Lakers defeated Lambton 2-0 before running into a determined Loyalist team.

“We struggled a little with our consistency all weekend and it finally caught up to us in the Loyalist match,” said head coach Marc LaRochelle. “I think this loss will certainly motivate us to work hard over the next week to prepare for our regular season games in Windsor next weekend.

The Lady Lakers are 1-0 on the season and will play their home opener November 7th against the Fanshawe Falcons.
