Jr. Wolves claim NOJHL title

The Sudbury Jr. Wolves completed the sweep with a 2-1 overtime victory over the Abitibi Eskimos in game 4 of the NOJHL finals Saturday night at the McClelland arena in Greater Sudbury.

Zach McGillis scored the OT winner and series clincher for the Jr. Wolves.

It's the Jr. Wolves second NOJHL title in the past three years but this year they snuck in as somewhat of an underdog finishing 4th overall in the regular season standings.

The Jr. Wolves will represent the NOJHL at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup which is hosted this year by the OPJHL's Newmarket Hurricanes beginning April 22nd.

Midget 'AAA' Wolves at Nationals

Around the same time in Arnprior (April 21st), the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves will begin their quest to capture the Telus Cup. On April 6th, the Great North Midget League champs won the Central Region Midget 'AAA' championship by defeating the London Knights 5-2 in the provincial final.
