Jr. Trappers Skate and prepare to play on the Pond

The Junior ‘A’ Trappers played host to the Temiscaming Royals this past Sunday. The first and second period saw the Trappers and Royals in a back and fourth battle.
The Junior ‘A’ Trappers played host to the Temiscaming Royals this past Sunday. The first and second period saw the Trappers and Royals in a back and fourth battle. The game looked close going into the third but the Trappers stepped it up and posted for goals in the final period. Sacha Guimond (#44) and Dan Zawacki (#21) posted two goals a piece while the games second star Justin Dicks (#17) posted one goal and three assists on the night. Congratulations to Zach Hunter (#39) who scored his first NOJHL goal during the third period.

The Junior ‘A’ Trappers along with Big Brothers Big Sisters North Bay invite everyone to come and participate in a special “Skate With The Trappers” event. This event is open to the public so join us February 17th at Caldwell Ellen Community Centre and Rink (398 Carruthers Street). There will be a public skate from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a shinny hockey game from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

If the winter chill gets too much for you and you need to warm up, head inside the community centre for hot chocolate and popcorn.

To help kick off this years Monster Pond Hockey Tournament the Junior ‘A’ Trappers are teaming up with the North Bay North Stars Special Needs Hockey team for a special exhibition game. Join us February 20th at 12PM at Circle Lake and catch the kick off to a great weekend of pond hockey!
