Jr. Trappers players honoured with NOJHL awards

The NOJHL released its list of individual and team awards for the 2009-2010 season on Friday.

Among the list of honoured players are three members from the Junior ‘A’ Trappers. Former Midget Trapper and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bear forward Mathew Pepin received the Gillies Laperriere Trophy for most improved player.

Junior ‘A’ Trappers point leader, Brodie Barron, has received the Mitch Tetreault Memorial Trophy for top defensive forward. And finally, defensive sensation Sacha Guimond, has been selected for the NOJHL Second All-Star Team 2009-2010. Congratulations to the award winners, the Junior ‘A’ Trappers organization is incredibly proud of these great players.

It has been a great year for the Junior ‘A’ Trappers, the determination and heart the players have shown this season has secured a second place regular season finish with 70 points. The Junior ‘A’ Trappers will host game one of the best of seven series against the Sudbury Jr. Wolves this Sunday at the Gardens at 7:00 p.m.

During the regular season, the Junior ‘A’ Trappers defeated the Jr. Wolves 7 out of 10 games. Catch Pepin, Barron, Guimond and the rest of the Trappers to watch this great rivalry heat up this Sunday!
