The West Ferris Wingate Jr. Skyhawks won their third tournament of the season at the 3rd Annual Winter Classic Tournament at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata which took place January 26th to 28th. The Jr. Skyhawks first game was a thrill in itself, playing on the Ottawa Senator's home pond, the Scotia Bank Place. After winning their opener, it was all business at the Bell Sensplex. In round robin play, the Jr. Skyhawks beat, Scarborough, Golbourne and lost a nailbiter, 3-2 to Kanata. Our Jr. Skyhawks won when it counted however, meeting and beating Kanata in the Championship game with a decisive 3-0 victory capturing the Atom Major AA title.

From a Hockey Night in Canada appearance, to playing in an NHL arena, and three tournament wins, team officials say this team still has lots of hockey left this season.
