Jr. A Trappers fall to Beavers

BLIND RIVER, ON - Jonathan Aubertin had 2 goals and 2 assists but his one-man offensive show wasn't enough as the Jr. 'A' Trappers dropped a 7-5 decision to the Blind River Beavers Saturday night.
BLIND RIVER, ON - Jonathan Aubertin had 2 goals and 2 assists but his one-man offensive show wasn't enough as the Jr. 'A' Trappers dropped a 7-5 decision to the Blind River Beavers Saturday night.

Drew MacMillan and Cain Nolan led the offence for the Beavers as they both had two goals and one assist in the contest. Reid Broadhurst, Nathan MacLeod, and Tyler Stoller added singles for the Beavers.

For the Jr. 'A' Trappers, they now fall to 0-3 on the season against Western Conference competition, but 3-3 overall.

Travis Fernley, Darnell Koosees, and Cory Sellers had the other goals for the Trappers.

The Jr. A Trappers are back in action Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. as they take on the Manitoulin Islanders. Prior to puck drop the Trappers will honour former Jr. Trapper Bill Barber by retiring his #9 jersey.

Barber and former teammate Reggie Leach, who happens to coach the Islanders, will be on hand during the first intermission to sign autographs.
