With sponsorship from Bernard Rochefort Ltd Plumbing and Heating & Electrical, the Tim Hortons Ice Capps Tween A ringette team has driven Tom Hedican's Coach4Food program up to 34,988 pounds. Tim Horton's and Fern's Heating also made financial donations to the Ice Capps who added 4,032 pounds to this year's campaign during their early morning practice.

Coach4Food, whereby Hedican puts teams through a series of NHL and European skill drills in return for non-perishable food items for the food bank, set a record last year with 60,482 pounds. There are six days remaining to beat that mark.

Inspired by rock star Bruce Springsteen's work with food banks in Canada and the United States, Coach4Food's final total will be announced December 23rd.
